Life's been hectic....

Yikes, I'm so sorry it's been so long since I updated. To say that it's been hectic would be an understatement. I think I have written a million posts in my head and tonight I said it's time to update real fast!!! Since I last wrote we have found out the genders, bought a new van, registered, bought closet organizers, and bought their carseats/pack n plays! Now to the good stuff..... When we had our ultrasound on the 29th they were only able to see the gender of one baby. Talk about feeling happy and deflated all at the same time. Baby B proudly showed but Baby A was being super shy. So we decided instead of waiting another four weeks that we would try an elective sonogram a few days later. It took 30 mins of the tech having me turn on my sides and lightly bouncing my belly to get Baby A to corporate! Evidently Baby A is sitting on Baby B. We are proud to announce that we are having a BOY and a GIRL!!!! Whooohooo!!!! Baby Boy will be named Brennen and Baby Girl will be named Braelynn. Then I found out a few days ago that 7 of my friends are throwing me a baby shower!!! What a blessing!!! I will be 20 weeks tomorrow and I am so amazed that I am still wearing my regular clothes. Well, I am wearing maternity jeans/capris but I'm still wearing all my regular shirts. At my last OB appt I had only gained 6 pounds from Oct 29th until Jan. 29th. I started this pregnancy a lot more fluffy than I would have liked. I'm happy that I'm HALF way to the finish line and I still have another 20 pounds I can gain if I need too. At my last appointment (I was exactly 18 weeks) Baby B was measuring 18 wks 2 days and is 9oz. Baby A was 18 weeks and 8 oz. I've had some really bad headaches but other than that I feel great with lots of energy.
Ok, sorry this is short but it's time for me to hit the sack! Our next ultrasound is Feb. 26th. I can't wait to see how much they have grown. I'm ready to have a belly. I was at the fabric store buying some fabric and when the fabric lady asked what I was making I said I was making some things for my upcoming twins. She took one look at me and asked how far along I was. At the time I was 19 weeks. She gave me the up and down look and you could tell she didn't believe me, lol.

  2. I LOVE the name Brennen!!! It's really close to Brenson :-). My cousin had a baby girl two weeks ago today and named her Braelynn. I hadn't heard it before that, so it's too funny that Braelynn is your girl name, too! Congrats on a boy and a girl! You are SOOOOO blessed!!!
