PicMonkey Sign

I LOVE to get on Picmonkey and make signs!! Made this for the twins baby books! I stamped their foot on plain white cardstock and scanned it into the computer. Then used the Picmonkey college builder. Make sure if you do this that if you do a transparent background and then add it to a background later. Then you can save and upload to any printing company (shutterfly, walgreens, walmart, etc) and have it printed. I will have this printed as a matte finish. :)

A wreath, a room redo, a Christmas tree.... Oh my!!

At last a real entry! We are literally iced in!! The kids and hubby got snow days on Friday. The last two days have been so relaxing!!! Pajamas, movies, coffee/hot cocoa, online Christmas shopping and staying snuggled under the covers!! Roads are bad! So bad in fact my coffee girls family Christmas party got cancelled tomorrow. Since we are a busy group of girls thankfully we got another date on the calendar before Christmas!! Since I wasn't cooking for the party i was able to get a new bright fun christmas wreath finally made!!!

I mentioned online shopping,..... Best thing ever!!! I think I've gotten about 90% of my shopping done as well as Brits birthday, a dress for her to wear to Uncles wedding and the twinlets first birthday toys (thank you Kohls sales with free shipping and 25% off the total!!)

Won't Britney be beautiful in this!!

So besides being incredibly busy running a house, getting kids to & from and taking care of twins I've been redoing some of my house!! I'm excited to show you some pictures!!! After ordering two high chairs Riley and I sub combed to the fact our dining room wasn't working. We had ordered a new table way before I found out I was pregnant. Our dining room wouldn't fit the table and two high chairs. Then we had a brilliant idea to switch our front living area (we have a den too) and dining area. Omg it makes it feel like a new house!!!

This is my old dining room... Sorry this is an old picture... I forgot to take a new one before redoing the room. :)

New Room before we painted!

Laying out our gallery wall!!! We traced our art work onto random old wrapping paper!!

With in paint and gallery wall!! The paint is called Romantic Overcast. I had found the color at Walmart but had the paint done at Home Depot!!

This one of my favorites on the gallery wall. I made the design on pic monkey and then printed it on muslin (used the freezer paper technique). It's hard to read at the angle I took the picture. Under the seven it says, "2+2+1+2" (order of how how our family was created!)

With all the babies stuff out we decided to buy a new Christmas tree a d set it up in this new walkway room!!
With new tree up!!

Milton Jingles our elf always leaves the kids pajamas, advent candy and a movie &/or family game on December first!!

Here's the new dining room!!! We aren't going to paint until after Christmas. (The baby pictures have been moved to the gallery wall and my cherry picture hung, I haved had a chance to retake a new picture). The room accommodates our large family as the table can stay extended out to 108 inches all the time!

I did get my kitchen finished it! This pain pt color is Dior Grey by Benjamin Moor

That's it for now!!! Five children are up and we've got a fun day of being iced in, relaxing and wrapping to do!! :))))

The Six Month Mark!!

I don't have time to post a long update tonight so I will post some cute pictures!!

! I keep thinking I will have an available minute BUT every minute has had something. We just finished a 9 day holiday with Riley and the older B's. I was so sad to see them all off this morning. I can't wait to show you what we changed up in our house!! We did quite a bit of painting over the holiday and then rushed to get the house back together for our Thanksgiving guests!! Then it was putting up the tree! Soon!
The twinlets had their six month well visit this morning. Barrett is 13lbs and Brennen is 12lbs 12oz's. They are just little darlings and make our whole family so happy!! Ok, I'm off to SLEEP!! Thankfully I have good little sleepers!

We Survived!!

As I speak my husband has just landed from a week long trip to Canada! To say it was a long week is an understatement when you have infant twins!! I think they knew he was gone even though they are only 3 mths old. The first few nights they were up just about every hour. i finally grabbed a shirt he left hanging over a chair and let them lay on it and they finally fell asleep! After that we were able to skype with him and they slept much bette! We all missed him so bad!! Ben was not liking that his daddy was gone. I'm so proud of Riley too! This particular trip he traveled with his big boss. He was so impressed with the way he handled global trade compliance for audits he gave him the Canada region! This is huge for him and for us as a family!! The only downfall is some possible week long trips back but his boss said he would try and keep him grounded until the babies are bigger! The kids have been at the table for an hour making him cards, I've got his favorite cookies in the oven and looking forward to Friday night wings!! Home isn't home without him here! Well babies are up. Ill leave a few cute pics...

Brennen didn't get the memo that it was bedtime!

Chandelier Redo on a Budget

We had a pretty relaxing day today!! It was much needed!! We also took apart the boys room, cleaned and made plans for ripping out two closets to put in organizers and measuring for new beds & cribs. Then I talked Riley into helping me with my Chandelier redo! The original kitchen chandelier is 8 years old and I was ready for a change plus it had an unfortunate accident when we had some friends over. A few of the tear drops on it got broken but I hadn't gotten around to buying new ones. Recently, I decided change had to happen to the kitchen! New paint, new light, new fabric and new wall decor!!! Then after scouring Pinterest decided I would just redo our existing light and save some money!! I'm soooo happy that's the route I went!!! I haven't painted yet but I have the paint... Dior Gray from Benjamin Moore. I found the fabric I want online but before I order it I want to run to a fabric store locally that carries it to make sure it's perfect (I can get it cheaper online). Ill be sure to post my progress as I go!!! Lets start with the light!!!! I'm in love!!!

Prep work: we took off all the old crystals and used my favorite degreaser on the light/crystals to clean it..... Shaklee Basic H! You can find it on my Shaklee website www.journeytohappy.myshaklee.com

Did you know Amazon sells Crystals for weddings and events? You do now!!! They come in lots of colors!! We bought four boxes to do this redo and used some existing clear tear drops. Then carefully used jewelry pliers to restring the crystals to the length/design needed.

Aren't they beautiful!!!

So ready to take those plates down!!

Possible fabric for my small kitchen window

In love with this paint!!!

Thank you for visiting my page!!

3 months old and First Day of school

Can you believe the babies are three months old? Neither can we!!! I also can't believe we have a kindergartner, a third grader and a fifth grader. It's the only year all three older B's will be at the same school.

These are the days!!

I can't believe the kids go back to school in two weeks. Summer has really gone way to fast!!! I just now feel like I'm getting around better and thankfully my incision is almost fully closed!!! I think Brady is prob going to miss the babies the most when school starts. I call him little mama because he is always anticipating Brennen & Barrett's needs, making sure they have dry pants, resident pacy helper, spit up patrol, and forehead kisser. I found him sound asleep curled up to the babies beds at 4am one morning. I think he is already having separation anxiety from them similar to that of a mom going back to work. Even though summer has been different than summer pasts (no vacation this year, a little more home bound, no VBS) it's still been fun! They got to see Despicable Me, Brit did ballet camp, swim, have friends over, spend time at Granny's, and crafts with me. Yesterday I loaded them all up and went to our favorite burger joint. They are super excited to go see Planes next week. So I think they've had a fun summer. Next year the babies will be a year old and maybe we can do more things.

We had Riley's extended family over to see the babies. Riley's dad is an identical twin (did I ever update that our placenta testing indicated the boys weren't fraternal but identical?) so it was cool to have "the twins" holding our twins!!!

Today we are going to an end of summer party with some of my best girlfriends from high school! Brit is excited that the babies get to wear the outfits she bought for them. Some of these friends and I go back to first grade. I love that we do coffee mornings after all these years!! Last week I hosted and we had 9 kids running around. I love it!! A house filled with laughter is a happy one!

Ok I'm off, babies just woke up and I still need to get ready for the day. Ill leave you with pictures!!! I wake up everyday excited for all that the day will bring. I feel so blessed to have my amazing husband and all of my B's!
